The course introduces students to the history of international organizations, their general features and decision-making procedures. Theoretical knowledge is supplemented by detailed information on past and present international organizations of outstanding importance, such as the League of Nations, the United Nations, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the Council of Europe. For a successful completion of the course, students are required to individually conduct research on and present a selected universal or regional international organization.
