This three-seminar course is presented by Professor Emerita Carol Bender, University Distinguished Outreach Professor Emerita at the University of Arizona, founding director of the Undergraduate Biology Research Program (UBRP), Creator of Biomedical Research Abroad: Vistas Open (BRAVO!), who was named Fellow of the AAAS, awarded the Copernicus Fellowship and honored as the 2017 Michael A. Cusanovich Arizona Bioscience Educator of the Year.
Theseminar enables participants to explore various careers and opportunities, research the scope and nature of careers of interest, understand professional and ethical issues facing individuals in different fields and gain professional skills to benefit participants both as students and employees. Participants will network with and learn from health professionals and develop an individual action plan setting out the steps they need to take to pursue their desired career.
