This is a PhD - level course.
This course is a "Fundamental Practice" course for the MMTDI students. It is an overview of how to collect, process and visualze data. The course uses example lab and field data to present ideas and methods to propery acquire, process and display/present data.
1. Data acquisition: Introduction to sensors and transducers; A/D D/A devices and processes; Applications with MEMS sensors and Micro-controllers
2. Data Processing; Fundamentals of anti-aliasing, Fourier and Wavelet transforms, calibration and verification of data, confidence in measurements
3. Data Visualization and Presentation; Using spreadsheets and charts, creating and presenting data animations, creating clear presentations to show your thesis
