This course introduces students to the principles and methods of descriptive geometry, enabling them to graphically solve problems involving spatial relationships among points, lines, planes, and solids including elements of terrain analysis such as contour lines and slopes. Emphasis is placed on orthographic projections, auxiliary views, intersections, developments, and the graphical visualization skills vital for civil engineering applications. Both manual drafting (primarily in the first half of the semester) and computer-aided tools (introduced in the second half) will be utilized to build core spatial reasoning and engineering drawing proficiency.
